The Medieval Time Period

As we move into the legend of King Arthur as well as Geoffrey Chaucer's The Canterbury Tales, we will be revisiting the Ages of English Timeline. Just click on the link to the left, and then click on the picture. Forward to Act 3, The Norman Conquest, and view Acts 3, 4, and 5. Move around the screen, click, read, listen, and take notes!! Be sure to click on the microphone/camera to the left of the globe and read/listen to some Middle English! Please list at least 20 pieces of information in your notebooks. (We will do this in the lab on Tuesday, Feb. 5th - 15 pts)

Welcome, juniors!

Hello there, my jolly juniors, and welcome to our new class blog. How cool, right? This old lady is finally getting with the 21st century! Please visit anytime for updates on what we covered in class, and for any reminders on homework. This year we will be covering British Literature, from the Anglo-Saxon national poem of England, Beowulf, through to more contemporary works, and if you are lucky, we will study some classic World Literature as well. Feeling stress about this year's HSPA? Please don't! We will review and practice sample tests. Let's have a great year together :).
